“The surgical specialty of orthopedics is focused on the musculoskeletal system comprised of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and nerves; all the tissue necessary for body motion. We treat people who have injury of disease to any of these tissues and therefore are physically compromised to some degree.
I have always been a participant and advocate for exercise and body motion for physical and mental health, so it is very rewarding for me to help people maintain optimal activity levels.
The technological advancements over the past forty years in orthopedics that we can offer our patients have been remarkable. Total joint replacements, innovations in fracture care, and arthroscopic surgery have made orthopedics one of the most popular disciplines with all of medicine. I feel privileged to have provided state of the art orthopedic care to the Southern Vermont and New Hampshire region for the past twenty five years and look forward to more of the same. ‘Keep Moving’.” - Dr. Jonathan Thatcher
